Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 21 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-21
1. Who we are and what you are accepting
GradAbroad (gradabroad.online) is operated by GradAbroad, based in New Delhi, India. Contact gradabroad.online@gmail.com about these Terms, your account, or complaints. These Terms govern your account and use of GradAbroad's study-planning tools. The Privacy Policy explains personal-data handling separately. By selecting the unchecked acceptance box and continuing, you agree to this version of the Terms. You may read the public catalogue without creating an account.
You must have the legal capacity to enter this agreement. If local law requires a parent or guardian to authorise your use, obtain that authorisation before creating an account. The service is not directed to children under 16. Do not use another person's account or misrepresent your identity.
2. A planning tool, with information you must verify
GradAbroad helps you discover programmes, save a shortlist, organise application statuses and checklists, record a study journey, estimate expenses, maintain a profile, and store supported documents. It is an early-stage service. Features, availability and reasonable usage limits may change; your account does not include a guarantee of uninterrupted access or permanent free access to every future feature.
We are not a university, admissions office, visa authority, DAAD representative, regulated financial adviser, lawyer, or immigration adviser. We do not submit an application or complete a government procedure merely because you mark a step complete. No shortlist, notification, checklist, journey stage, programme listing or calculator guarantees admission, a visa, a scholarship, housing, funding, employment or a particular outcome.
Programme information is a preliminary snapshot and can be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date. English-language availability, entry requirements, deadlines, fees and intakes may change. Planning groups describe published requirements, not acceptance probabilities or university rankings. Check the programme's official university pages and daad.de, and contact the relevant institution before relying on information or paying money. You remain responsible for your application, eligibility, deadlines, supporting evidence, finances and final decisions.
3. Account access and responsible use
Keep your Google, GitHub or email account secure, use a trusted device, and sign out on shared devices. Notify us promptly if you believe your GradAbroad account is compromised. You are responsible for activity you authorise; this does not remove our responsibility for failures attributable to us under applicable law.
Do not access other users' data, bypass authentication or usage limits, upload malware or illegal content, exploit security weaknesses, disrupt the service, impersonate another person, or scrape in a way that infringes rights or impairs the service. Report suspected vulnerabilities privately to our contact address; do not retrieve, alter or distribute another person's documents to demonstrate an issue.
4. Your information and uploaded documents
You retain your rights in your profile, planning information and uploaded documents. You give us only the permission needed to host, store, process, display and deliver that content to you, operate and secure the service, respond to your support request, and meet legal obligations. This is not a transfer of ownership or permission to sell your documents or publish them.
Upload only information you have the right to provide. Uploads are optional. Avoid medical records, payment-card information, passwords, highly sensitive information that is unnecessary for study planning, and other people's identity documents. Keep your own secure copies of important files. A completed checklist or successful upload is not proof that a document is valid, accepted by an institution or safely backed up forever.
Files are subject to the formats, size limits and account limits shown in Your Documents. We may reject unsupported or unsafe files. File validation reduces risk but is not a guarantee that every malicious file will be detected. Access controls protect private libraries; no online service can promise that data theft, human error or service failure is impossible.
5. Calculations, reminders and third-party services
Budget totals use the amounts and settings you supply. They are estimates, not live quotations, a bank balance, a guaranteed exchange rate or a statement of visa-funding requirements. Verify calculations and official financial requirements independently. Notifications report supported activity within GradAbroad; they are not a guaranteed reminder of every external deadline.
Google, GitHub, universities, DAAD and other linked services operate independently under their own terms and privacy notices. A link does not imply endorsement, partnership or a promise about that third party's content, availability, security or decisions.
6. Intellectual property and feedback
GradAbroad's original branding, interface, software and authored content belong to their respective rights holders. You may use the service for its intended planning purposes. Do not copy our branding to impersonate us or republish content in breach of third-party rights. University names and other third-party marks remain the property of their owners.
If you voluntarily send product suggestions, we may use those suggestions to improve the service without an obligation to pay you. This does not grant permission to publish personal information or documents included in a support request. Do not include confidential documents in general feedback.
7. Availability, restrictions and ending your account
We may carry out maintenance, correct information, change features, or temporarily restrict access to address abuse, security incidents or legal requirements. Where practical and lawful, we will explain a material restriction and provide a way to contact us. Emergency protective action may take place without advance notice.
You may stop using GradAbroad at any time and request account deletion through the contact in our Privacy Policy. Where feasible, retrieve files you need before requesting deletion. Deletion, retention exceptions and backup limitations are described in that Policy. Suspension or termination does not remove rights or obligations that already arose.
8. Warranties, responsibility and your legal rights
We aim to provide a useful and reasonably maintained service. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we provide the service and third-party information as available without a promise that everything is error-free, always available or suitable for your particular circumstances. Reasonably foreseeable interruptions and inaccuracies can occur.
To the extent applicable law permits, we are not responsible for losses caused by independently changed university or government requirements, third-party decisions, your inaccurate inputs, or failures outside our reasonable control. Any allocation of responsibility must be read in light of our actual obligations and your statutory rights; it is not a blanket exclusion of responsibility for our own conduct.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer rights, fraud, intentional wrongdoing, gross negligence where protected, or responsibility under applicable data-protection law. You do not waive your right to complain to a regulator, seek a remedy or use a competent court by accepting these Terms.
9. Changes, questions and disputes
We will publish a dated version when these Terms change. Material changes affecting your agreement will be explained and, where required, presented for renewed acceptance. We will not treat silence as agreement where affirmative acceptance is required. Acceptance records identify the version accepted; they do not automatically mean you accepted future versions.
Contact us first if you have a problem so we can try to resolve it. Applicable mandatory law and your rights to use a competent court or dispute process remain unaffected. No exclusive foreign court, forced arbitration or waiver of consumer protections is imposed by these Terms. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful.
